James Gunn Talks GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Trailer

Director James Gunn recently broke down the first Guardians of the Galaxy trailer for Total Film. In the article, he revealed many things about the upcoming film. Describing Groot, Gunn said,"Essentially, all the Guardians start out the movie as bastards - except Groot. He’s an innocent. He’s a hundred percent deadly and a hundred percent sweet. He’s caught up in Rocket’s life, really." Talking about the lack of certain major characters in the trailer, Gunn said, "It’s important to add that we left out some of our coolest characters – Lee Pace’s Ronan the Accuser, Michael Rooker’s Yondu, and Glenn Close’s Nova Prime – because we want to save them for the full trailer in a couple months."

The next trailer is most likely to premiere with Captain America: The Winter Soldier in April. For the rest of the Trailer Breakdown (it's really great), head on over to Total Film's site!

  1. I bet Nova Prima is gonna have a badass grandma moment before being killed off by the villains.

  2. Actually, Cameron, if the already-released first trailer for "Guardians of the Galaxy" is set to be screened before "Pompeii 3-D" on Friday and is likely to be shown before "Captain America 2" on April 4th, I think the next full trailer will arrive in May and will be shown either before "Amazing Spider-Man 2", "X-MEN: Days of Future Past" or "Disney's Maleficent".
