SPOILER: Potential GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Connection From Latest AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Episode

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been getting better and better lately. The past three episodes have been phenomenal, as the story of Agent Coulson's revival has gotten more and more intriguing. Last week, on the episode 'T.A.H.I.T.I.', Coulson came face to face with a blue alien, whose blood we assume saved his life. On the latest episode 'Yes Men', Asgardian warrior, Lady Sif, came to Earth to round up Lorelei, an Asgardian seductress. While Sif was on Earth, Coulson got a chance to ask her about the race of the alien...Spoilers after the jump.

On tonight's episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent Coulson indirectly asked Lady Sif about what race the alien from last week's episode, T.A.H.I.T.I., could have been. In her response, Lady Sif name dropped the following blue alien races: Kree (Ronan The Accuser), Centaurian (Yondu), Antidite, Levian, Fargoth, Sark, and Frost Giant. She then added that each race hadn't been to Earth in a while.

For those who don't know, the villain of the Guardians of the Galaxy film is Ronan The Accuser, a Kree warrior. Could this possibly mean that our theory is correct? Was the blue alien from last week's episode actually a Kree? If so, does this mean that Skye will have some sort of superpower after being injected with its blood? Could this lead to the MCU's version of The Inhumans?

On the other hand, Centaurians were also mentioned, which means that the alien could be the same race as Yondu, one of the original Guardians of the Galaxy. We still have many more questions, but one thing is for sure, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is not only getting better, it's quickly being connected to the cosmic side of the MCU. What this means for potential Guardians of the Galaxy crossovers in the second season is still up to debate. But we'll keep watching!

Take our poll on the right side of the page and let us know if you think the blue guy is Kree. Also, let us know what you thought of the episode by dropping a comment below!

  1. It has got to be a Centaurian or Kree. With GotG coming out in August, Marvel is trying to give it as much exposure as possible. A sudden alien showing up on AOS cannot be coincidence. They are setting up a connection to GOTG.

    1. If it's a Centaurian, why doesn't it have a fin on its head? Maybe it fell off...

    2. most of his body is gone so perhaps it also got damagged and fell off...thats the only explanation i can think of

    3. Remember, they don't have fins in "real life". That seemed to have been taken away from their design in Guardians movie.

  2. I think that was confirmed with your observation of the symbols on the chest, Mr. 20/20! :)
I don't think I've ever seen those markings on Ronan's chest through all of Marvel history...

    1. That could be, but the Sakaarans have those markings too. But maybe it's because they are working for Ronan.

  3. Pheragots and Centaurians are the likely candidates. See for yourself.

  4. My guess is a Centaurian...since it looks like Yondu's ship crashes somehow in the past (1980's probably) before he takes in Qwill, maybe the dead alien was one of his ship mates?
