S.H.I.E.L.D. To Appear In GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY?

Website Nuke The Fridge has posted "spy photos" from the Guardians of the Galaxy set, and they appear to feature tanks and trucks that have the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo on them.

We have heard rumors that S.H.I.E.L.D. would be in contact with the Nova Corps in the film, but now we have some confirmation, given that these photos are truly from the Guardians set. S.H.I.E.L.D. could also show up to clean up the spaceship crash.

Guardians of the Galaxy is currently undergoing reshoots right now at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, CA. If these are from that set, they could possibly be adding S.H.I.E.L.D. to the film to give a further connection to the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Head on over to NTF for the rest of the photos.

  1. I was just about to say that maybe they are deployed to Yondu's crash site to investigate. I know tanks being sent to investigate is a bit extreme, but they could be there in response to the crash.

    1. Also, this could maybe explain how S.H.I.E.L.D. have a dead Kree in their possession...

  2. I guess Stan Lee will cameo as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, then.

  3. And, this may also help make a "Guardians" tie-in episode to Agents of SHIELD.

  4. Have we seen that particular SHIELD symbol in current-time-frame stuff? It just looks like the 'old' SHIELD symbol, so it could have to do with Peter's childhood. That would tie-in the older-looking symbol to our Yondu landing to get kid-Peter theory and....

Holy crap. What if the blue alien in the tank is Yondu?

Okay, it's probably Kree, but the thought just crossed my mind. And gave me a sad.

    1. That symbol's shown up a few times in the current time frame in Agents of SHIELD, so it's not necessarily a flashback.

    2. That would be awesome if we see old footage from the crash in a S.H.I.E.L.D. database, or we see a scene from Guardians from a different angle or something.
